Breaking Waves is bringing together the key players of the European Maritime sector on the 21th of November as a part of the SLUSH event.

The Breaking Waves conference will bring the key players of the maritime sector together. They will focus on challenges, which the European maritime cluster has faced and will discuss about the opportunities to succeed in the competitive global markets.

Breaking Waves will be part of the world leading start-up event SLUSH. This year the focus will be on optimizing the logistic chains and ecosystems in maritime as an innovator and developer for the maritime transportation. The topics will be discussed by the top leaders of the European Maritime Cluster and a selection of interesting Start-Up entrepreneurs.

New points of view for resolving common challenges, everyone is encouraged to join the discussion

The conference will be joined by international leaders, maritime experts and start-up companies. To encourage the conversation between different factors and business groups, the price of the tickets has been lowered compared to earlier prices.

”We encourage the whole industry to join the dialogue. Automation and digitalization are changing the world, but climate change is arguably the biggest challenge of our time as well as rejecting climate effects in maritime. Logistic chain optimization is a potential way to increase activity and reduce emissions. In addition, we will need new innovations and operating models. At Breaking Waves, we strive to create discussion and find new perspectives to address common challenges. The European maritime cluster has a chance to play a significant role in global emissions efforts. The innovations developed there can be used everywhere,” says the representative of the organizers, Tiina Tuurnala the CEO of Finnish Shipowners´Association.

Greetings and a summary from the previous day's Think Tank, will be published at the conference.
