Tapahtuman aika

Welcome to listen, learn, contribute and to expand your business.

The workshop is divided into two parts
1.    Presentation of Frost & Sullivan: The Rise of Smart Digital Shipping & the Growth of Autonomous Shipping. Global benchmarking study of the world leading countries developing digiships

The increasing testing and deployment of digital technology solutions across the marine world is driven by a need to increase operational efficiency and sustainability. There are increasing deployments of IoT, Data Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Blockchain, AR/VR, AI and ultimately fully Autonomous Solutions.

On behalf of Business Finland and TF Future Watch service, Frost and Sullivan has surveyed the developments in these areas by conducting a technology scouting and country benchmarking exercise to identify technology development, adoption and deployments. Frost & Sullivan has investigated the markets of the US, Japan, Norway, Holland, Germany, Finland and Singapore to have perspectives on driving trends.

This presentation will aim to summarise the key findings of this investigation. In particular

  • What institutes and companies are prominent by country?
  • What examples of Government initiatives and funding activities are there?
  • Where are the technologies being developed and deployed?
  • What are the key competencies and government initiatives?
  • Look at examples of development of autonomous technologies?
  • What conclusions can we draw about which countries are at the forefront?

Whether you are a shipbuilder, operator, technology provider, financier, insurance, port authority, marine logistics supplier, or from any other part of the complex marine ecosystem, there will be some interesting insights for you.

The full Future Watch report will be shared with participants after the seminar.

The presenter will be Iain Jawad from Frost and Sullivan who has led this project, and leads activities for national technology innovation organisations.
