Welcome to listen, learn, contribute and to expand your business!

The Smart Ports Countries benchmark study presentation is held on January 21st, 2020 at Team Finland house. The workshop is divided into two parts:

1. Presentation of Frost & Sullivan: Global benchmarking study of the world leading countries developing Smart Ports
Frost & Sullivan has conducted a research on the topic of Smart Ports and gathered specific intelligence on technology development and adoption, business applications and benchmarked the leading Smart Ports in different countries.

Recent technology developments in the information technology space have opened new horizons for the port industry. Smart or Digital Ports refers to the application of digital technologies such as machine learning, data analytics, visualization, cloud and advanced wireless communications technology to the Port Ecosystem that are driving innovations and enabling business efficiency.

On behalf of Business Finland and Team Finland Future Watch service, Frost and Sullivan has surveyed the technology development scenario, technology & application adoption and benchmarking of selected countries by conducting a technology scouting and country benchmarking exercise to identify technology development, adoption and deployments. Frost & Sullivan has investigated the markets of the US, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany and Singapore to have perspectives on driving trends.

This presentation will aim to summarize the key findings of this investigation in these countries. In particular:
Terminal automation, Digital port call, Onshore operations, Infrastructure management, Energy transition.

Port ecosystems: Shareholders, Port Authorities, Operators, Users, Technology Providers, Authorities and Innovators.

Where are the technologies being developed and deployed?
What conclusions can we draw about which countries are at the forefront?
Whether you are a representative of ports, operator, technology provider, financier, insurance, port authority, marine logistics supplier or from any other part of the complex smart ports and logistics ecosystem, there will be some interesting insights for you.

The full Future Watch report will be shared with participants after the seminar.
The presenter will be Benoît Butruille from Frost and Sullivan who has led this project.

2. Discussion about Finnish Smart Ports competences. The aim is to create a joint offering from Finland for Smart Ports
