Thomas Lundberg has been elected to ALMACO Group's Board of Directors
“I met Thomas on Åland only a couple of months ago”, Vilhelm Roberts, Chairman of the Board of Directors at ALMACO, reveals. He continues; “Neither I nor anyone else at ALMACO knew Thomas or had any history of working with him, but as we started discussing our respective backgrounds and business interests, I got a strong feeling that Thomas, with his broad experience in international business development and digitalization, could be exactly who we are looking for to join our Board of Directors. And luckily, Thomas was keen to get onboard.”
Thomas Lundberg, who holds a degree in law, is currently the CEO of the fast-growing IT-company Crosskey and has twenty years’ experience of international business and multi-market management from working with companies like Crosskey, Linklaters, Lehman Brothers and Paf.com. The unique combination of experience from legal, financial and technology businesses in a multimarket environment gives Thomas a strong analytical and strategic skillset.

Thomas has a broad experience of working in boards and a strong understanding of the working dynamics between executive managements and boards of directors. Besides from being a Board Member at ALMACO, he is the Chairman of the Board for both Ålandsbanken Fondbolag Ab and Ålands Investerings Ab.
As a firm believer in inspiring communication and energy-giving leadership, Thomas is frequently assigned as a public speaker and he has written a book about leadership. Thomas has a background as a national top-level floor ball player and has represented the Finnish national team. Thomas knows what makes for a winning team – After his own active playing career he has worked pro bono many years as a performance coach for IFK Mariehamn’s football team that won the Finnish championship against all odds in 2016. He says his background in sports has thought him to set high goals and to be ambitious, but also the importance of teamwork, staying humble and living by a strong set of values.
