Groke Technologies: Contract signed with Tsurumi Sunmarine, to be installed on all owned vessels
It has been decided that Groke Pro, the situational awareness system developed by Groke Technologies, will be installed on all company vessels owned by Tsurumi Sunmarine Co., Ltd. This is our first customer contract. With this installation, we expect to further ensure the safety of the voyage, as well as to reduce the burden on the crew. Tsurumi Sunmarine plans to gradually install this system on their operating fleet, and contribute to solving problems and modernizing the Japanese domestic shipping industry.
Tsurumi Sunmarine is a tanker operator that operates about 150 tankers and has been transporting petroleum products since its establishment in 1947. It is also a shareholder of our company and has cooperated with us from the product development stage. The first Groke Pro deliveries will be made during this year, with these solutions Tsurumi are actively contributing to the safe operation of ships through increased digitalization onboard.
Groke Technologies is a Finnish-based startup founded in 2019. Focusing on the shortage of seafarers and the aging of the seafarers which the Japan domestic industries face, we have been working on the development of solutions that reduce the burden of seafarers, and have now finally started selling our first product, the situational awareness system Groke Pro and Groke Lite. We will continue to solve issues utilizing digital technology.
